How to Make a County Cider Margarita
Did you know yesterday was officially National Margarita Day? In honour of the occasion, we thought we would share a fun recipe with you all adapted from Delish.com on how to make your own cider margarita! With only a few ingredients, and your choice of one of our delicious ciders, you’ll be able to make the most incredible cocktails for any and all occasions without leaving your own house! Who said you had to go out to get a good drink? This recipe will have you wishing you tried it a lot sooner!
To get started you’ll need:
- 500ml of your favourite County Cider flavour (we recommend County Lime, or County Apple for a classic flavour combo)
- ½ cup of tequila
- ¼ cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Cinnamon Sugar for rim (2 tbsp sugar, ½ tsp cinnamon mixed)
- Fruit for garnish (apples, raspberries, limes, etc)
*Tip: We offer 500ml bottles and 473ml cans of our cider, with 2 cups equalling 473 ml*
Now that you have the ingredient list, let’s move on to the fun part! Follow these three simple steps to make your own fancy margaritas right at home! *recipe yields two large glasses*
Step 1 – Rub edge of glasses with lemon slice and then rim with the cinnamon sugar
Step 2 – Combine cider, tequila and lemon juice over ice in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously (yes, I know it is carbonated so be careful with this part)
Step 3 – Strain the mixture into your glass over fresh ice cubes and garnish with whatever your heart desires (raspberries and apple slices are great in a Feral Cider Margarita!)
And there you have it! A beautifully concocted margarita made with your favourite cider. Try this recipe with our many different flavours to get something new and exciting every time! We’ll be trying our County Blood Orange next time! Visit our website www.countycider.com to check out all the awesome cider flavours you could be using for this recipe.
