"Made from tree-frozen Ida Reds and Northern Spys picked in January. Gold-apricot colour; soft nose of dried peach-apple, caramel and woodsmoke. Medium weight and less intense than icewine, with a caramel apple finish. Serve chilled with crumble or pumpkin pie.”
—David Lawrason, Toronto Life, October 2005 reviews County Cider Ice Cider

“Beautiful acidity balances off the lovely baked apple and crème brûlée flavours. Not cloying or too big for a fresh fruit apple or pear dessert. Cider-lovers will appreciate this.”
—Vic Harradine, WineCurrent.com, November 20, 2004 Vintages Release newsletter reviews County Cider Ice Cider

Fool on the Hill 2007 Pinot Gris
"This is the County Cider Company & Estate Winery's upper echelon wine and it is a standout. Made by winemaker Jenifer Dean, this wine is beautiful in both colour, nose and flavour. The light peach juice colour come from 14 hours of skin contact. The great nose has smells of poached pears, mandarin orange and peach iced tea: while the palate proves to be just as enticing, with apples, lemon, and a beautiful pear mid-section....wonderfully refreshing."

County Cider Company Peach Cider
"This week we go to Prince Edward County to try an apple-based cider that has summer fresh peach juice added.....what could be better as we head in summer?
Tasting Notes: This apple based cider has about 1-2% Niagara peach concentrate added - hard to believe there's so little peach in it with all that big peachy flavour. Refreshing and downright yummy.

“Grant Howes starting making British-style dry cider in 1996 and a few years later he planted a vineyard. Now with the help of winemaker Jenifer Dean he has two drink businesses on the go. Two things to enjoy on the patio outside the renovated big barn. I should mention the gorgeous lake view. The very refreshing draft cider is available at several bars in the County, (as well as Kingston and Toronto) and the bottle version is at Vintages.”
